Weekend Recap: Holiday Edition!!! 12.24-12.29
Yes I’ve been gone for almost two weeks on vacation but I’m back and I come bearing gifts!!! I have all the sweet TEA for those who love sipping on the latest celebrity gossip and news!!! So let’s just dive right in shall we?!
1. Jay and Bey Celebrate HOV’s Birthday
Several pictures were released of the dynamic duo partying it up for Jay-Z’s 45th birthday in Iceland. The ‘On the Run’ couple made a pit stop to Iceland’s resort called The Trophy Lodge where the property touts itself as a “private luxury resort and spa” that is “fit for a king.” The couple arrived with bodyguards in tow via helicopter Dec. 1, with guests joining later for a party at the hotel. And of course you know the Queen Bey and her King can only stay in the best of the best. According to the paper, the entire Lodge has recently been rented out by “rich Russians and other tycoons.”
2. Fab Feeds the Homeless
It’s always great to see celebrities paying it forward and that’s exactly what Fabolous did this holiday season. The Brooklyn rapper was spotted working along side Food Bank NYC feeding the homeless on Christmas Eve. He posted this picture with the caption:
“Giving Back #Lituation Thank You @foodbank4NYC for giving me the opportunity to be involved in a good cause by feeding those in need of a good meal, along with @chefmaxhardy. To volunteer or donate ~> http://bit.ly/WqPxO4 #FightHunger,”
3. Raz-B of B2K Sex Tape Released
Now some may know that Raz-B has had his fair share of scandals since his You Got Served days but this newly released sex tape is an all time low. The alleged sex tape was filmed in China where Raz-B is ‘allegedly’ running his own club and various business ventures. In the tape you can see Raz-B and an unamed girl engaging in various sex acts. The duration is two minutes and thirty-nine seconds to be exact and can be seen at WorldStarHipHop I believe, and that’s if it hasn’t already been taken down.
4. Screech from Saved By The Bell Goes to Jail
Dustin Diamond, better known as Screech from Saved By The Bell, was arrested on Christmas for allegedly “endangering someone’s life” in Wisconsin by pulling out a switchblade during a bar fight and stabbing a man. Diamond, 37, appeared in court Friday on a charge of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, a felony, as well as misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct, and a judge set his bail at $10,000, according to court records.
According to police, Diamond stabbed a man during an altercation at the Grand Avenue Saloon in Port Washington at around 11:15 p.m., and then he and his fiancée fled in a white sport-utility vehicle. Diamond and his fiancée, Amanda Schutz, were taken into custody a short time later, where a folding knife with a 3.75-inch blade inside the vehicle with what appeared to be blood on it was found by police.
The victim suffered a stab wound to his right armpit, but police said the wound was not life threatening and he was recovering at home Friday. Hopefully Diamond will be Saved By the Bail this time.
5. Ludacris Proposed to Long Time Girlfriend Eudoxie
Ludacris popped the question to his girlfriend Eudoxie on Friday, Dec. 26.
“She didn’t say yes. She said HELL YES! #milehighproposal,” the rapper, 37, captioned a photo collage of the proposal via Instagram.
The Fast & Furious actor waited until the couple were in the air to get down on bended knee. He projected “Eudoxie will you marry me” on the grass below, leaving his bride-to-be overwhelmed and nearly in tears.
“BEST DAY OF MY LIFE WITH THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!” she captioned the same pics on her Instagram page.
The two have been dating since 2009 and that girl has stuck it out through baby mama drama and all. Eudoxie boo you deserve it!!! Congratulations you two!
6. Kalenna of Dirty Money Welcomes Newborn
LHHATL member, Kalenna, welcomed her new bundle of joy with husband Tony Vick. In an Instagram photo posted on December 26, the former Dirty Money singer shared a photo of her new baby boy’s toes. While she has yet to share the name or any details regarding her delivery, the baby seems to be healthy and happy. The excited mom wrote her caption in all caps,
“THE DREAM I HAVE FOR YOU! ! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH . #GIG #LOVE #CARBONCOPIES.”

7. Chrae Are Back Together
Yes we called it way before the holidays but Chris Brown and Karrueche have been spotted several times together from bowling alleys to concerts. They both denied they were making amends to their relationship but the holiday spirit must have sprinkled some rekindling under the mistletoe. The two spent Christmas together and were out shopping in L.A. with a new addition to their family, a puppy courtesy of Breezy to Karrueche as a Christmas present. We hope and pray that they keep it together this time.
8. NYPD Officers Turn Back on Mayor
Hundreds of police officers turned their backs on a screen showing New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio as he spoke at the funeral of one of two officers killed last week. The mayor, whose wife is black, said he has spoken to his mixed race teen son about how he should act if he is stopped by police.
In speaking about protesters who were arrested and charged with assaulting police during a demonstration in New York, de Blasio used the word “allegedly,” which some in the #NYPD seemed to take as a slight.
9. The Game and Tyga at Millions March LA
The Game, Tyga and DJ Mustard were among the music stars who participated in the “Millions March Protest,” which took place in the Fairfax area of L.A. Estimates of the crowds ranged from a few hundred to several thousand, according to the Los Angeles Times. No arrests were made during the peaceful demonstration.
10. Miley Cyrus Shows off Nips on IG
MileyCyrus decided to bare her nips on Instagram. She said that it was time to she practice what she preaches and expose them. See the uncensored pic on her page @mileycyrus.
11. Air Asia Flight 8501 Disappeared
AirAsia Flight 8501 disappeared from radar screens Sunday with 162 people aboard. According to CNN, this is what is known so far:
The Airbus A320 flew out of Surabaya, Indonesia, at around 5:35 a.m. local time on Sunday (5:35 p.m. ET Saturday), bound for Singapore.Less than 40 minutes later, the pilot radioed air-traffic control asking to increase the plane’s altitude due to the weather. Heavy storms were reported in the area. Minutes later and about an hour before the plane was scheduled to land in Singapore, the plane lost contact with controllers and disappeared from radar. AccuWeather meteorologist Tyler Roys tells USA TODAY that the area along the flight path was blasted by a string of severe thunderstorms when the jet disappeared. Two days of searching by 30 ships and 50 aircraft failed to locate the plane or its debris. The second day’s effort on Monday was called off because of darkness. The search was scheduled to resume at dawn Tuesday and will be extended to include land, according to Indonesian authorities. Some air crews spotted oily spots and objects in the sea Monday, but Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency ruled them out as connected with AirAsia, said Trikora Harjo, general manager of Juanda Airport. There were seven crewmembers and 155 passengers on board — with 138 adults, 16 children and one infant, the airline said in a statement. The passengers and crew included three South Koreans, a Malaysian, a French co-pilot, a British national and his 2-year-old Singaporean daughter. The rest were Indonesians. This is the third major air incident for Southeast Asia this year. On March 8, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 went missing soon after taking off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing with 239 people aboard. It remains missing. And on July 17, another Malaysia Airlines flight was shot down over eastern Ukraine while on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. The 298 people aboard were killed.

14. Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz Welcome New Baby Boy
Songbird Alica Keys and hubby Swizz Beatz welcome their second baby boy, Genesis Ali on Saturday, December 27th. The music producer and “Girl on Fire” singer announced the joyful news Sunday via Instagram. Son Genesis Ali Dean was born at 1:52 a.m., weighing 6 lbs., 5 oz.
