By  |  0 Comments

Bourbon and Beyond, The World’s Largest Bourbon Festival, returns expanding to three days full of incredible music, unique culinary events, and unmatched experiences from the region’s best distilleries at the new Highland Festival Grounds At KY Expo Center. In addition to an unforgettable lineup of bourbon and chefs, music performers include a unique mix of rock, roots, bluegrass and folk acts

Here’s our pick for 5 acts you don’t want to miss:

Del McCoury

You don’t normally envision an 80 yo old playing music festivals but Del isn’t your typical 80yr old.  A true living Bluegrass legend and member of the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame Del usually doesn’t play from set lists but let’s each shown be a unique experience by letting the audience and band chose songs on the fly.

White Reaper

These Kentucky natives deliver their own brand of high energy infectious rock and their live shows can get even the most reserved crowds on their feet. You’ll not regret catching the self proclaimed “World’s Best American Band”

Margo Price

Margo is one of the “New Nashville rebels” but counts James Brown and Etta James as influences and that shines through with her particularly soulful country sound. Her live shows are where she shines with an authentic ability to connect with her audience and take them on a musical journey through ballads and rockers alike.

Leon Bridges

Not satisfied to ride on the wave of his highly successful first album’s throw back sound, Leon Bridges progressed his Sam Cook like soulful vibe to show his more modern influences like Usher. Bridges is truly an old soul who’s music will have you swaying as his raspy vocals wash over you.

Foo Fighters

Rock front men don’t get much better or likable than Dave Grohl. That bigger than life rock royalty personality is the perfect compliment to a band that can blister through a 3 hour set and still have the fans still chanting for more. The Foos have more than enough hits to keep your fists pumping. They maybe celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2020 but they still rock out like a band in their prime.
