Halloween is quickly approaching this Friday and you know what that means: It’s TURN UP time this weekend at all your hottest haunted houses, halloween parties, and fright night fest at the clubs. Now I love a good spook and Halloween gives everyone an excuse to dress up but Halloween wouldn’t be right without some scary delights! If you’re throwing a BOOgie down Halloween bash then these 10 dishes are sure to have all your friends trickin’ for treats.

1. Dracula Dentures

This blood sucking cookie creation is made from chocolate chip cookies, red frosting, and marshmallows and you’ll be sure to sink your teeth into them. Just cut the chocolate chip cookie in half, spread red frosting on the inside and place the marshmallows on top of the icing. Then take the other half of the cookie and place it on top of the marshmallows and you’re good to go.

2. Spider Deviled Eggs

These creepy crawlies are made out of olives that are cut in half. You use one half as the body, and the other half into tiny slivers to use as legs and place them on top of your deviled eggs.

5. Jack-O-Lantern Burgers

I’m a burger FANATIC so these babies would be gone so fast at my Halloween bash. All you need is burger patties, buns and cheese. You make the burgers to your preference and cut eyes, nose and mouth out of each cheese slice to create a jack-o’-lantern. Place cheese on burgers and cook until cheese is slightly melted. Then serve on buns.

10. Ghost Strawberries

I live for a chocolate strawberry and this tasty treat is a healthy option for those cutting calories from all the Halloween candy. All you need are fresh strawberries, white chocolate, a teaspoon of shortening, 1/8 teaspoon of almond extract and 1/4 cup of miniature semisweet chocolate chips. Wash the strawberries, melt white chocolate and shortening in a microwave safe bowl and stir until smooth. Stir in extract. Then dip the strawberries in the chocolate, place them on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet, allowing excess chocolate to form the ghosts’ tails. Immediately press chocolate chips into coating for eyes. Freeze 5 minutes. Finally melt remaining chocolate chips in the microwave and dip a toothpick into the melted chocolate and draw a mouth on each ghost.

I hope these few treats are not too tricky for you. Whether you make one or all of them, they will sure to be spooktacular at your upcoming Halloween Extravaganza.
